Aspen

Meet Aspen. Nothing stops this little legend!

We spoke to Aspen's mum, Tailynn, to learn a bit more about his journey with the Ookkie. Here's what she had to say.

What was your reason for getting an Ookkie?

I wanted Aspen to be able to do fun adventurous things with his older brother. When I saw the Ookkie board, I loved how you‚ are able to offer safety and guidance while your child learns how to balance on the board so they can eventually ride the board on their own.

Describe the learning experience on the Ookkie for us.

It took Aspen only a few minutes to figure out his Ookkie. He was a bit apprehensive at first, but once he stood on the board, held onto the handle & I started to slowly pull the board, he was loving it. He rode his board for a solid 15 minutes around our block. All smiles.

Do you get any comments when you're out and about riding the board?

We, have gotten lots of people who think the board is amazing. Such a wonderful idea, for any child, but especially for the special needs community. Lots of times our kids take a bit longer to develop strength and this board is so perfect for core strength, balance and muscle engagement. Our physical therapist was very pleased with it.

How has the Ookkie helped your little one in their development?

He‚ has been using it about a week now and I can already see growth in his balance. Which is so exciting! I know his cute little legs have to be building muscle too because he basically does a slight squat stance while on the Ookkie.

How has the Ookkie become a part of your family life and routine?

Yes, most definitely! We go on evening walks together as a family. Aspen on his Ookkie board and Dayton on his scooter. Love that they can both ride together.
